Great book, I like most the first part when he explains what he think what a new rich is, and the last part when there're the testimonies that Tim received。 Great book, I like most the first part when he explains what he think what a new rich is, and the last part when there're the testimonies that Tim received。 。。。more

A lot of great ideas but it feels very outdated。

Never underestimate the power of saying no。 It teaches useful lessons about minimizing work。 They are based 20/80 rule。 Overall, I am inspired and ready to try everything I have learned from it。 Travelling the world, spending quality time with family and working smart。

I love the rethinking life parts, but the selling parts make me unsure of the validity。

Dan Moffa

Outdated and occasionally obvious, but still a solid strategy。

Enough humor mixed in to make this a fine good read。

Amazing book。 Gave me a new way to look at how I approach my career and life as a whole。 Interesting content, felt like there were gems every page。 One of my top recommendations in the self help category, great book to learn how to free up some extra time in your life for your own goals。Note: at some points the author made some recommendations that are much easier sounding than reality

I like Tim and his writing style。 Some valuable points are raised in this book。 The philosophy is self-entered and entrenched in new age romanticism though。

If you really want to become lazier and see your results going down instantly that's the right book for you! It leaves all to outsourcing and delegating。 As an example: one of the best quotes I've read in the book is to give your business to outsourcers for support and tell them "my customers are your customers" - Do whatever you want! I’m very conflicted on this book。 On one hand it does offer some good advice (investments really do pay off, and it includes some good philosophical stuff like finding what makes you happy, don’t wait for retirement, etc) but the rest of the book is just overwhelmingly capitalistic (not in a good way)。 Like, his method is just to exploit people lol

Tabitha Sumsion

4。5 stars。 Quite long but I am the type of person that loves a detailed list of what to do and he really walks you through everything, so it all felt like relevant and practical information。

I totally loved this book to start then it just slowed down and got way too nitty gritty with the “how to” of drop shipping and creating a product and kind of lost me

Best tip from the book: stop reading books you dislike。 In fact, I stopped reading this one

'The 4-Hour Workweek' started off really great, as Tim Ferris provided great advice on how to limit time consuming tasks, become more productive and intentional with life。 However, towards the middle, this book transformed into a list of bullet points and the end was literally him repeating exactly what he already said。 (I get it - emails suck, hire a virtual assistant。 This really didnt need to be repeated multiple times)。 As I've stepped away from my 9-5 job recently, I found some parts of thi 'The 4-Hour Workweek' started off really great, as Tim Ferris provided great advice on how to limit time consuming tasks, become more productive and intentional with life。 However, towards the middle, this book transformed into a list of bullet points and the end was literally him repeating exactly what he already said。 (I get it - emails suck, hire a virtual assistant。 This really didnt need to be repeated multiple times)。 As I've stepped away from my 9-5 job recently, I found some parts of this book helpful, though it took time to swift through the repetition。Also, I would definitely recommended his podcast over this book。 He came off as bit of a 'douchebag' (for a lack of a better word 。。。) in this book, whereas I definitely dont get this impression about him through his podcast。 。。。more

While I do think there are some interesting ideas in this book, these ideas were delivered with so much haughtiness and condescension that I had a hard time being open to the author’s suggestions。 Part of that may be because I listened to this as an audiobook, and in that format it felt like I was being yelled/ranted at for 6 hours。 The other part is probably the ruthless way the author slashes out any thoughts or actions that are in any way unprofitable or impractical。 While I get the point, I While I do think there are some interesting ideas in this book, these ideas were delivered with so much haughtiness and condescension that I had a hard time being open to the author’s suggestions。 Part of that may be because I listened to this as an audiobook, and in that format it felt like I was being yelled/ranted at for 6 hours。 The other part is probably the ruthless way the author slashes out any thoughts or actions that are in any way unprofitable or impractical。 While I get the point, I don’t think I could do mercilessly cut out ever trivial aspect of my life just because he says so。 I like doing my budget and checking my email more than once every two weeks, ok?? The 4-Hour Work Week is about escaping the 9-5 rat race, giving yourself the freedom to work anywhere and still be successful。 It is not about working longer hours, but about working less and still getting the same, if not better results。 In many ways, Ferriss' book is a culmination of years of trial-and-error methods。 Tim’s work is substantial and can be considered as a reference piece than a casual read。 The contents of the book are compelling enough to change your mindset towards work。 Tim f The 4-Hour Work Week is about escaping the 9-5 rat race, giving yourself the freedom to work anywhere and still be successful。 It is not about working longer hours, but about working less and still getting the same, if not better results。 In many ways, Ferriss' book is a culmination of years of trial-and-error methods。 Tim’s work is substantial and can be considered as a reference piece than a casual read。 The contents of the book are compelling enough to change your mindset towards work。 Tim focuses on changing a reader's mindset concerned about work, finance, and retirement。 The book effectively encapsulates the real potential of the internet revolution and also discusses its limitless possibilities。 This is an influential book that will teach you that wealth isn't all about money, it's about creating time to do the things you love! 。。。more

This is every bit the tech bro manifesto you think it is, but it also has some solid gems。 Really loved the “not to do list” and learning to manage inputs/distractions if you’re going to maximize outputs。

THE FOUR HOUR WORK WEEK is written by TIM FERRISSIn this book, Tim explains how anyone can leave their 9-5 jobs and can live their life on their own terms。Tim introduced the concept of DEAL i。e。 how with the help of this concept anyone can attain THE NEW RICH where one can have time and freedom。 He explains and gives a lot of ideas to leave the rat race(slave-save-retire)。THE CONCEPT OF DEAL-D-Definition(Define things)1。 To work for yourself。2。 To work when you want。3。 To retire early。4。 To buy THE FOUR HOUR WORK WEEK is written by TIM FERRISSIn this book, Tim explains how anyone can leave their 9-5 jobs and can live their life on their own terms。Tim introduced the concept of DEAL i。e。 how with the help of this concept anyone can attain THE NEW RICH where one can have time and freedom。 He explains and gives a lot of ideas to leave the rat race(slave-save-retire)。THE CONCEPT OF DEAL-D-Definition(Define things)1。 To work for yourself。2。 To work when you want。3。 To retire early。4。 To buy all the things you want。5。 To be the boss instead of an employee。6。 To make a ton of money。7。 To have more。8。 To reach the big pay-off。9。 Interest and Energy are cyclic。10。 Stop being laming。E-Elimination(rules that change the rule)1。 Everything popular is wrong。 Beat the game, not play the game。2。 Less is not laziness。3。 The timing is never right。4。 ask for forgiveness, not permission。5。 Emphasize strengths, don't fix the weakness。6。Things in excess become their opposite。7。 Money alone is not the solution。8。 Relative income is more important than absolute income。9。 Distress is bad, Eustress is good。10。 Eliminate things you don't want。 Focus on what you want。A-Automation(Time management skills)1。 The goals should be unrealistic to be effective。 NOW ITS YOUR TURN TO THINK BIG。2。 EFFECTIVENESS over EFFICIENT(leave the work you hate doing BE EFFECTIVE)3。 Follow the 80/20 principle/Pareto principle-80% consequences come from 20%cause4。 Use PARKINSONS LAW- shorten the work to the important tasks and give a time limit。5。 low information diet。6。 Start an automation system-decrease your availability。L-Libration1。Taking mini-retirements。2。 Overcoming excuses not to travel。3。 Build ASSETS。4。 In this book Tim provides a lot of links so one can really get benefit from this book。TIM also explains how some people can misunderstand these principles and again become part of the rat race。 But the goal should be beating the rat race。 Sometimes it is difficult to use all these concepts。it may cause frustration but remember this is all part of the plan。 Once you beat the rat race you will find peace and all your dreams will come true。REVIEW- If this book is on your shelf then don't think twice just grab it and start reading。 You all should read this book。 If I have to conclude the book in one line then this book is the pathway to create a business that will give you the lifestyle of your dreams。 。。。more

A book about saving time wastes way too much of it on case studies that add nothing of value and only serve as a vehicle for the authors exhaustingly smug prose。 Read the first two parts and then move on。

This book is straightforward with its advice。 Though it may not be for everyone (especially with different ideals of success), it helped me see an altogether different perspective in terms of time。 I think he didn't really intend to write about money here, but more on the importance of making more time to do what you want, which I think was helpful。 This book is straightforward with its advice。 Though it may not be for everyone (especially with different ideals of success), it helped me see an altogether different perspective in terms of time。 I think he didn't really intend to write about money here, but more on the importance of making more time to do what you want, which I think was helpful。 。。。more
